Afsara Haque, MD is a second-year resident physician at the UCLA-VA Psychiatry program, where she is her cohort’s Research Track resident and serves as incoming Chief of Education and Curriculum Development. Dr. Haque received her medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago with Gold Humanism Honors, her teaching credential in Special Education from Loyola Marymount University, and a BS in Human Biology as well as a BA in Health Humanities from the University of Southern California. Her clinical interests include child and adolescent psychiatry, school-based interventions, and cultural psychiatry. Outside of the hospital, she enjoys jigsaw puzzles (1000+ pieces only), cooking new recipes, and exploring the LA restaurant scene when that goes awry.
